This 1-hour CE course gives brokers, advisors, and employers a fresh, back-to-basics look at supplemental group health insurance—showing how “oldies but goodies” still solve today’s rising cost challenges. With group medical premiums projected to jump 8.5%–11% in 2026, attendees learn why traditional tools like HSAs, HRAs, indemnity plans, and modern GAP coverage remain some of the most effective strategies for controlling costs and protecting employees.
The session breaks down how each supplemental solution works, where it fits, and how to communicate it clearly to clients. It also covers new compliance requirements, modern GAP plan innovations, and practical design tips that help employers strengthen benefits without overspending.

Speaker: Neil McNeill, Ph.L., REBC

Neil McNeill, currently the Sales Executive for Tokio Marine HCC-Med Plus for the SW USA, was born in San Antonio, Texas.
After growing up in Abbeville, LA, he studied abroad in Rome, Italy where he earned a master’s degree in philosophy, with an emphasis in Ethics and Christian Anthropology.
He worked in Catholic ministry in education and leadership roles in Europe, USA and Mexico for over 26 years.
Since 2016 his work in the insurance industry has consisted in leadership roles ranging from HR executive roles to employee benefits sales and account management as well as creating specialty products in group health insurance.
He has been a NABIP member since 2019 and is REBC certified with NABIP. He was also recently named Chair of Public Service for the Board of Directors NABIP San Antonio Chapter.
He is fluent in Spanish and Italian, enjoys traveling with his wife Laura, reading, fishing and hunting and playing mediocre golf.
