Mayo Clinic’s 17th Annual Women’s Health Update 2021
November 4th – 6th
DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Paradise Valley – Scottsdale, Arizona

This three-day conference will address topics focusing on contraception, sexual health, menopause and other hormonal issues, breast health, LGBT health, cosmetic dermatology, general medical conditions in women and more. Interactive Q & A panel discussions with the faculty, reinforced by evidence-supported and case-based presentations, ensure this program is one not to miss!

LIVE (in-person) attendees must comply with all live course requirements and guidelines and applicable state and local COVID-19 travel restrictions, guidance and resources.

Please note that all live course attendees must:

  • Provide proof of vaccination prior to event admission. You must be logged in to ce.mayo.edu to provide proof of vaccination.
  • Complete COVID-19 testing within 72 hours or less of the event start date and provide attestation that a negative test result was received OR provide attestation that a lab-confirmed positive COVID-19 test result was received within the previous 90 days, that it has been at least 10 days since the positive test, and that you are currently asymptomatic. You must be logged in to ce.mayo.edu to complete your attestation.

Learners who do not fulfill the above requirements will be unable to attend the live (in-person) event.

Requirements and guidelines may be amended as CDC, public health and other relevant guidance are adjusted.

Target Audience

This course is designed for primary care physicians/practitioners, general internists, gynecologists, specialists in preventative care, and other health care professionals (PAs, NPs and RNs) who have an interest in Women’s Health.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe an approach to management of menopause, including the current guidelines on menopausal hormone therapy
  • Discuss the newest cervical cancer screening guidelines
  • Explain an approach to breast cancer screening with newer imaging modalities
  • Formulate an approach to the management of PCOS in women
  • Explain sex specific diagnosis and management of sleep apnea and sleep disorders in women
  • Review the role of testosterone treatment in postmenopausal women and the lack of an “androgen deficiency in women”
  • Explain the prevalence of premature and early menopause and its management
  • Describe CBD use in women’s health
  • Detail the role of gender affirming hormone therapy in the treatment of gender dysphoria
  • Explain newer contraceptive options and changing contraceptive practices in the United States
