Cultivating Inclusion: A Health & Athlete Leadership Conference

Thank you for your interest in Special Olympics Arizona’s inaugural “Cultivating Inclusion: A Health and Athlete Leadership Conference.”  Registration will close July 31st or when no more spots are available.

Target Audience: Health Professionals, Health Professional Students, SOAZ Athlete Leaders, and SOAZ athletes interested in becoming Athlete Leaders

Time: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Meals: Continental Breakfast, Buffet Lunch, and snacks will be provided

SOAZ Health Program: Special Olympics’ health programming focuses on improving the physical and social-emotional well-being of people with intellectual disabilities (ID) by increasing inclusion in health care, wellness and health systems for Special Olympics athletes and others with ID.

SOAZ Athlete Leadership Program: Athlete Leadership partners with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (Special Olympics athlete leaders) to ensure they are set up to succeed in meaningful leadership roles. This is done by providing training in knowledge and skills, practical experience in roles of responsibility, and working with leaders without IDD to develop inclusive environments.
