Addressing health care issues relevant to rural and tribal communities, the conference fosters collaboration, highlights statewide program and projects, and provides networking opportunities for health care professionals, administrators, policymakers, county directors, state and local leaders, federal agencies and others. The conference allows for building and strengthening partnerships, discussing ideas and solutions, networking and disseminating information.

• “Developing Organizational Capacity for Rural Health Grant Portfolios”
  • Target audience: rural-based organizations, coalitions, agencies, providers, and other stakeholders interested in learning more about the rural grants landscape, basic components of grant writing, developing a grants portfolio, and telling your organization’s story using data.
  • This 3-hour afternoon workshop is open to all and includes lunch.
  • Registration is required. Limited to 30 people.

• “Rural Hospital Trustee Institute”
  • Target audience:  Critical Access Hospitals and rural health clinics/hospitals staff and board members interested in learning more about board governance, quality measures and finance stewardship.

• Building a Diverse Workforce From the Ground Up: Assessing and Understanding Your Organization’s Current Context (Part 1 & Part 2)
  • Target Audience:  Leaders, providers, and human resource officers in mental health organizations who are interested in assessing and reflecting on the importance of a culturally responsive workforce and taking actions in their organization.
