DMSG: Creating The Foundation for Excellence in Governance
Please join us June 8th at 11:30 am MT for a DMSG Webinar presentation with Tommy Thomas PhD, CEO of Opposite Strengths Inc. This presentation is about creating and running a great healthcare system starting at the top with the governing board. In order for the organization to operate at peak performance, the governing board sets the tone and example for creating a culture that attracts and retains top caliber employees.
A key performance indicator for the governing board is how successful they are in collaborating and reaching consensus while valuing different opinions and viewpoints. The governing board is no different from any other department, team, or group in the overall system in that they are composed of an interlocking system of interpersonal relationships. This webinar will examine, explain, and demonstrate the fundamental aspects of a collaborative relationship that preserves the independence and integrity of the individuals involved.
TAKE AWAYS
- Understand your unique way of operating from the same six fundamental psychological strengths that all people possess.
- Discover your natural way of communicating by uncovering which of the four relationship tendencies you use most often in your relationships.
- Increase your own psychological agility so that you can create, develop, and maintain more productive and effective relationships with others.
- Realize at a deep level that the most important function of a governing board is to create a culture in which all stakeholders are able to do personally meaningful work as a valued and trusted member of a world class organization dedicated to achieving a worthwhile cause.
