The National Rural Health Association is rolling out a new in district advocacy toolkit as Congress heads into its spring recess, aimed at helping rural providers and stakeholders engage lawmakers in their home districts.
The Senate recess runs March 28 through April 12, while the House recess extends through April 13.
The toolkit includes guidance on identifying members of Congress and their committee roles, finding local events, and conducting outreach through meetings, email and social media. It also provides template communications and updated 2026 rural health advocacy talking points to support engagement during the recess period.
