An initiative filed Aug. 26 is asking Arizona voters to push hospitals to grant workers a five percent pay increase beginning in 2020 and continuing for a subsequent three years. Led by Arizona Healthcare Rising, the bid campaign is being funded by the California arm of D.C.-based Service Employees International Union.
