Major health care providers come together to ensure consumers take advantage of available marketplace coverage.
This fifth open enrollment for the Healthcare.gov individual marketplace faces hurdles for consumers put in place by the Trump administration. Shortened enrollment period, markedly reduced outreach funding, periods when the website will be unavailable all cause concern that enrollment will be substantially lower, with fewer people covered by insurance.
To fill the gap, seven Southern Arizona health care providers joined to create a website. The providers are Tuscon Medical Center, Carondelet Health Network, Banner-University Medical Center Tuscon, El Rio Health, Northwest Healthcare and Pima County. The website is : SoAzCares.org
TusconNewsNow quotes Dr,. Francisco Garcia, of Pima County:
Health insurance is the critical tool individuals need to be able to use health services.
