Jim Hammond has more than 35 years of local experience in the payor-provider field of healthcare administration. As the managing consultant and founder of Professional Healthcare Solutions, Jim lends his experience and expertise in value-based insurance design and contracting to payors and providers of all types, including medical management companies, Medicaid health plans, commercial health plans, physicians, large group practices, urgent care centers, alternative care providers, IPAs and integrated delivery systems.
Marcus Johnson is a dedicated public health professional with extensive experience in policy and systems-level approaches that advance population health. As Deputy Director of Community Engagement & Regulatory Affairs at AHCCCS, Marcus oversees teams responsible for federal affairs, state legislation, Tribal relations, communications and member advocacy. He is currently overseeing the agency along with AHCCCS Deputy Director Kristen Challacombe
Paul Rose leads Phoenix-based Western Asset Protection, a Field Marketing Organization and Integrity Marketing Group partner. Founded in 1982, WAP specializes in Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and Part D plans overseeing 800 independent brokers. Rose’s decades of experience, particularly in Arizona’s fast-changing Medicare market, offer valuable insight into what’s working—and what’s not—for local health plans heading into next year’s open enrollment.
Jenn Barrett is VP of Business Development at Contexture, Arizona’s health information exchange. She brings deep experience in healthcare transformation, managed care, and value-based contracting. Jenn’s background includes Medicare and Medicaid contracting, healthcare consulting, and physician relations. She has also supported CMS’ Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative and led provider training, credentialing, and enrollment efforts across Arizona’s healthcare landscape.
Robert “Bo” Cofield is the COO for Northern Arizona Healthcare and leads the non-profit health system’s inpatient and ambulatory clinical operations. Bo will welcome and introduce the Summer State of the State conference.
