Objectives:
1. To identify the most popular public phobias and disqualify “death” as something to
rightfully fear.
2. To propose a hypothesis that includes five sub-fears that constitute our legitimate fear
of death and dying.
3. To demonstrate that the Medicare hospice benefit allows skilled professionals to offer
solutions to patients and families that alleviate the fear associated with death and
dying.
