This afternoon at the State Medicaid Advisory Committee’s (SMAC) quarterly meeting, AHCCCS Director Tom Betlach briefly announced the resignation of Beth Kohler, Deputy Director of Arizona’s Medicaid program.
“I think you all know that unfortunately Beth is leaving us,” said Betlach, speaking solemnly of her departure. Kohler’s last day in the office is November 10, 2017 and she will be succeeded by Jami Snyder, current associate commissioner, Medicaid/CHIP for Texas with a history in Arizona’s healthcare industry.
Snyder has previous experience working for Arizona health plans as well as AHCCCS and the Arizona Department of Health Services (DHS).
Her start date is December 4, 2017.
