The general public may review and submit comments regarding proposed changes to provisions of the AHCCCS Contractor Operations Manual (ACOM) and the AHCCCS Medical Policy Manual (ACOM), the governing agreements for plans and providers contracted with the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS).
Among the most significant proposed revisions to ACOM Policy 415 would expand reporting requirements tied to provider network changes, including service reductions, rural access and peer-run and family-run organizations. The proposal also adds new disclosure fields tied to provider terminations and whether reimbursement rates contributed to the change.
Public comment on the policy closes June 20.
AHCCCS is also proposing revisions to ACOM Policy 401 governing changes between AHCCCS Complete Care contractors, including clarification that members have 90 days to request a State Fair Hearing.
Comments close June 26.
Separately, proposed updates to AMPM Policy Exhibit 300-1 would revise certain covered service references, including removal of non-emergency transportation language and updates tied to Traditional Healing Waiver enrollment information.
Public comment also closes June 26.
AHCCCS plans may also note that new language for ACOM Policy 101 addressing marketing guidelines is also up for public comment. The change addresses the evolving media landscape for consumers and the agency now has broadened its restriction on “television advertising” to include broadcast, cable, and television‑like video advertising delivered via streaming, or Over‑The‑Top (OTT) platforms.
Public comments due May 30.
