Health Current, Arizona’s health information exchange, has awarded its 2017 “Health IT Awards”.
The Health IT Awards recognize an individual and an organization that has demonstrated leadership in advancing health IT and made a significant, positive impact on their local communities.
The Health Current 2017 Health IT Awards were presented at the 10th Annual Health Current Summit & Trade Show held recently in Glendale.
Dr. Bradford Croft of Flagstaff was awarded the “Health IT Leader Award”. Dr Croft has operated East Flagstaff Family medicine for more than 30 years and was honored for his outstanding leadership in advancing healthcare through health IT and health information exchange (HIE).
The “Health IT Innovation Award” went to El Rio Health of Tucson. El Rio was the first Federal Qualified Health Center (FQHC) to connect to Health Current’s HIE and was honored for its history of early adoption and support of electronic health records and HIE.
